  • Emete TonukariHead, HR Business Partner, Nigerian Breweries

Resulting from the high need for developing competency in community and stakeholder engagement, this training was designed to clearly articulate to participants how to put their best foot forward and take advantage of the opportunities they have ample capabilities for.

The training which once again showcased Access Bank’s commitment to CSOs in Nigeria was held on Wednesday, 13 September, 2017, with the aim to empower CSOs with risk/benefit assessment skills on how to ascertain current and potential concerns within communities.

Considering this, it was crucial that participants be exposed to seasoned professionals in the persons of Igazeuma Okoroba and Emete Tonukari, who have unmatched competency in this regard. Obviously delighted by the opportunity, the 52 participants spanning 16 states across Nigeria, identified several matters which is summarised below:

  • CSOs are not fully aware of how to prioritise their stakeholders. In other words, they typically do not know which stakeholder they need to engage more with, and end up with conflicts.
